On 15 September, volunteers and partners worldwide come together to rid our planet of trash – cleaning up litter and mismanaged waste from our beaches, rivers, forests, and streets.
World Cleanup Day harnesses the power of everyday people to achieve incredible things by joining together. Its beauty lies in cooperation and collaboration: building bridges between disparate communities, and including all levels of society – from citizens, to business, to government.
A world changing idea with a humble beginning. The movement was born 10 years ago in Estonia, when 4% of the population came out to clean the entire country of illegally dumped waste, in a matter of hours. This captured the imaginations of people worldwide, who were inspired to follow suit with the same ambitious ‘one country, one day’ formula.
This was the beginning of a global bottom-up civic movement, Let’s Do It! World, which has spread like wildfire around the globe. The movement has grown to be the biggest of its kind in the world – uniting people from all corners of the planet to work together in cleaning the world of trash.
But, the Let’s Do It! movement has never been purely about cleaning up trash. It also works to raise global awareness and implement lasting changes to end the global waste epidemic, once and for all.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS PROJECT – 2018
Under life light association we have a lot of projects and programs on action plan and on implementation and all these involve society sustainability and well-being. Life light Association ensures that we implant environment protection seeds in youth’s life for future generation benefit, waste management projects, WASH (water, sanitation and Hygiene) projects and Climate Action (FMNR- Farmers managed natural resource regeneration) with mainly target to save environment, save earth, save life. We also want to act on sustainable goals which also link with the society to ensure good health and living, Quality environmental education, Clean water and sanitation, Sustainable cities and communities, Climate function adaptation and Life protection on water and land.
These projects includes:
Environmental education for students,
Waste management programs,
Climate adaptation program (example FMNR-farmer managed natural resources regeneration)
WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene
Despite having all this programs under practise, we mainly act on environmental education in schools because all programs link with environment safety and protection, that means Environmental education includes all the factors (living and non-living) in air, land and water.
Environmental Education for Students project encompasses academic knowledge and practical skills to prepare young people and youth to become responsible citizenship and the world of protection and world conversation.
There have been ongoing environmental issues that really threaten human race well-being, that some are due to the ignorance of the people over what are their responsibilities on environmental protection or probably lack of implementing environmental policies. It has been witnessed there has been low effort to spread the environmental knowledge to the public in raising awareness on environmental protection unless you have background on environmental studies at higher level education that is not helping much because such people are not heard enough.
Environmental education connects us to the world around us, teaching us about both natural and built environments. Environmental education raises awareness of issues impacting the environment upon which we all depend, as well as actions we can take to improve and sustain it. Whether we bring nature into the classroom, take students outside to learn, or find impromptu teachable moments on a nature walk with people, Environmental education has many benefits for youth, educators, schools, and communities.
To serve large purpose that will be a long term educational work to educate, train and really enforce legal implementation to fight pollution and save environment. As our motto is to save environment, save earth, save life.
To protect and develop the environment by enabling people to live in a healthier and safer environment. Environmental education consists of development of environmental awareness in all segments of society, which, by raising environmental consciousness in individuals, instills enduring behaviour in them. It encompasses them to think big on environmental sustainability act.
To provide every person with opportunities to acquire the environmental knowledge, values, attitudes, commitment, and skills needed to protect and improve the environment.
To create new patterns of behaviour of individuals, groups, and society towards the environment.
To raise public awareness and understanding on environmental issues their solution and what environment really means in general.
Building of team work between the government, private sectors and the citizens towards combating impacts resulting from damage of the environment.
Contributing to Sustainability
Environment education builds the knowledge and skills needed to address complex environmental issues, as well as act to keep our natural world healthy, our economies productive, and communities vibrant. Save environment, save earth, save life
Conserving our Natural Resources
Higher levels of environmental knowledge correlate significantly with more pro-environment and conservation behaviour. The more people know, the more likely they are to recycle, be energy efficient, conserve water, etc.
More understanding of nature
Environmental education for students encourages students to investigate and participate in varying sides of issues of environment to understand the full picture on environmental disaster and what can they do to help.
Healthy lifestyles are encouraged
Environmental education gets students outside and active and helps address some of the health issues we are seeing in children today, such as obesity, attention deficit disorders, and depression. Good nutrition is often emphasized through environment education and stress is reduced due to increased time spent in nature and empowers students to lead the way in creating greener and healthier learning environments inside and outside their school buildings.
Communities are strengthened
Environmental education promotes a sense of place and connection through community involvement. When students decide to learn more or act to improve their environment, they reach out to community experts, donors, volunteers, and local facilities to help bring the community together to understand and address environmental issues impacting their neighbourhood.
Responsible action is taken for better environment
Environmental education helps students understand how their decisions and actions affect the environment, builds knowledge and skills necessary to address complex environmental issues, as well as ways we can act to keep our environment healthy and sustainable for the future.
Learning transcends the classroom
Not only does Environmental education offer opportunities for experiential learning outside of the classroom, it enables students to make connections and apply their learning in the real world. Environmental education helps learners see the interconnectedness of social, ecological, economic, cultural, and political issues.
Critical and creative thinking skills are enhanced
Environmental education encourages students to research, investigate how and why things happen, and make their own decisions about complex environmental issues. By developing and enhancing Save environment, save earth, save life critical and creative thinking skills, Environmental education helps foster a new generation of informed consumers, workers, as well as policy or decision makers.
